Structure

The Elves of the Assembly are organized into strict Castes
The Ceruealian Blessed
The Ceruealian Blessed are mostly High Elves that lead the nation. A disproportionate amount of merchants and bearucrats are High Elves, The Eladrin are also found within the priesthood of Henali Celanil and thier spawn.
The Aerdrien Folk
Sea Elves, Fishermen, and Sailors are part of the class that worships Aerdrie Faenya. They are Coastal dwellers and have a heart for the sea. They are not considered to be equals with the Blessed but are considered essential for the nation to function.
Another trait of the Aerdrien Folk is that almost all architects and engineers are found within this caste. Simply due to the caste's dwellings being built on the stormy coasts of Port Knight and Northerpost.
The Military
The military caste is mostly wood elves with the occasional member of one of the cultures within The Axe Pact. The Military caste are considered a lower caste as the elves of the Assembly do not wish to dwell on violence. They are honored and not mistreated, just looked down upon in the private rooms of high society.
Ellistraeellians
Mostly drow and other lesser races. Previous generations of elves would not have been accepting at all of drow but recently the Song has slowly relaxed the tensions between drow and elves.
Undesirables
Humans, Orcs, Goblins, Hobgoblins, Gnolls, and Kobolds (to name a few) are part of the undesriable class. These peoples are conisdered impossible to integrate into proper elven soceity. They are either sepperated into special estates where they are observed by soldiers and kept apart from the "civilized" peoples. If they simply can not be moved to these Relocation Camps they will be either escorted to the border and banished or desposed of.

History

The Song was a notable power once, before the Theoidor Empire. It knew the Unicorn Sea as its northern border for as long as tales of the Song tell, surrounded by rivers. It held sway over the rites of elvish kin. With the incorporation into the Empire, the Song remained a religious power, but was relegated to an outsider in the world of politics, with the Empire's law being the primary one enforced over elvish lands; it was during this time that the Song traveled more westward, and other Elves into other regions as a grand diaspora. Its fall came as a great relief as the Song could reclaim its place on the stage of the world

Military

Uniforms

Soldiers typically are not given professional uniforms. Simple patches and sometimes matching colors are used to identify soldiers. Skirts are common amongst the soldiery of the Song. Typically the clothing of the army should show austerity and not the accumulation of undue wealth.
