SFC - Sectional Fundamentalist Church

Divine Origins

After The Third World War, a group of Polkian priests based out of The Stone City were concerned about HIPA - Homeland Inclusive People Authority goal to get rid of religion entirely to focus on secular problems and get rid of division.  They were able to rally together to keep the outlawing of religion from happening, much to The BFA - Business First Authority great disappointment.  They swept together a new church (really a fundamentalist repackaging of the old church) and recruiting some powerful members of the community to slowly start spreading the word. Their base of power and religion is still the holy Stone City (once the most important pilgrimage site, and now a place struggling to find relevance among a people that have forgotten them).

Tenets of Faith

The tenets of SFC - Sectional Fundamentalist Church are getting back to basics  - the gods and family-first values, restraint in all aspects of life (dress, behavior, affection, environment you surround yourself with, amount of food/alcohol consumed, amount of capital goods consumed).  Where the current cultural mood is all about free-spiritedness, the SFC - Sectional Fundamentalist Church seeks to control all aspects of a person's life in the name of acting in the image of the gods.  It is also heavily reliant on the The Three Souls Prophecy and the myth of soul mates and is of the opinion that relationships should not break up (that you should only be in one with your soul mate, and the person you are with is that person regardless of lack of proof, and therefore, you can never leave them under any circumstance) - this is in regards to the most recent cultural attitude towards open relationships and easy divorces in the rest of the continent (as they, who are still scarred by the war, are looking to minimize conflict whenever possible, and the idea is just to leave at the first sign of conflict).

Political Influence & Intrigue

The SFC - Sectional Fundamentalist Church has been growing more and more radically powerful over the last decades even though its collective influence on a scale of members is comparatively small.  They are seen by the rest of the population as troublesome and crazy, as people out to ruin the uneasy peace the continent has found.  And still, the SFC - Sectional Fundamentalist Church agendas seem to be passing through the government more and more.
