The Three Souls Prophecy

Summary

There is a legend of soul mates that has been passed down and whispered about since the beginning of written history. The most powerful of gods had a mortal enemy.  They constantly battled over the land - wars of magic that raised up the mountains and carved out the rivers. They bleed and that blood became the human race and they cried and their tears became the animals that lived on the land.  In the final battle, the moral cursed the god so that the god's soul would be constantly split in two - cursed to forever walk the earth trying to find its other part.  All of the other gods got angry at the god and the mortal, see everyone was already destined to have a soulmate that they would walk the earth trying to find, and the god and the mortal were each other's soulmates, and now there were three souls who would be tragically destined to find and lose each other, over and over again.  That these souls would never feel the completion of finding their soul mate and getting to keep it. 
It's known as the most tragic of stories, even if it has become less and less known in the days after The Third World War.  People tend to forget about the part of the story where everyone has a soul mate they should be looking for and more focus on the three souls that are constantly trying to tear each other apart.  It seems like every time there is a major conflict, there is an old grandmother somewhere whispering in the background about The Three Souls Prophecy 
There are whispers, that one day the three souls will find each other again and that one day, their story will not end in tragedy. And on that day, the world will be saved from further conflict.
