Harrachi

Harrachi (a.k.a. Littleclaw)

Harrachi, also known as Littleclaw, is a Mashiqi male Kobold engineer in the employ of the Grand Army of the Dragon. A former bandit from the hills outside Kir Minya, Littleclaw and his collective of kobolds was recruited by the Qartagonians to aid them in their reconquest of the Mashiq. He currently is engaged in scouting and tunneling under the ancient walls of Jeharoa.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A ruddy kobold with burnt brown scales and sharp yellow eyes. Harrachi wears dust-caked clothes and an odd helmet: it appears to be a modified tin bowl with a number of prongs and compartments protruding from each side. When he is about to go underground, Harrachi attaches wax candles and inserts oil into the compartments to create a makeshift headlamp for easier excavation.

Personal history

Harrachi was born in 336 SE to the Tinteeth kobold clan. The Tinteeth clan resided a series of tunnels under the Rusted Pastures outside Kir Minya. These tunnels were once used by the Ashkelon Dynasty during the Mithril Era before being abandoned and sealed over a millennia ago. In these Tin Tunnels, Harrachi learned the craft of sapping and importance of mining safety. Over time, he made a name for himself as someone who could not only maintain the ancient passageways but dig new ones that were almost as robust and sound as their predecessors.   Some time around 355 SE, Harrachi acheived the position of urd and became the leader of the Tinteeth clan. A few years later, the Tinteeth were contacted by a Qartagonian agent named Sabaaq eld-Sasan. Sabaaq traded rare jewels and metal tools in exchange for information about the surrounding area, particularly the nearby castle of Tarak. This exchange continued for several years, culminating Sabaaq loaning a group of rare wyvern eggs to the clan. They were tasked with protecting these eggs as well as continuing their spying of the Pilgrim forces in the region.   In 361 SE, a group of kobolds from the Tinteeth attacked a tiefling convoy carrying tithes for the reeve of Kir Minya, Sir Crispin. This prompted a group of adventurers to track the kobolds to their tunnel system and locate the lost tithes. The mortals and the kobolds fought briefly, but when the adventurers found the kobolds' nesting chamber, Harrachi was forced to negotiate. Harrachi agreed to allow the adventurers to leave with the tithes and a kidnapped villager in exchange for leaving the clan's eggs unharmed. However, Harrachi did not know that one of the wyvern eggs was stolen by this group of adventurers. Harrachi's blunder cost him a great deal of prestige both with the Qartagonians but also within his own kobold clan.   Later in 361, intelligence gathered by Harrachi allowed members of the Grand Army of the Dragon's Wyvernier Corps to begin landing forces in the Leode Gap just north of Jeharoa. Harrachi's work was well regarded by the captain of the Wyvernier Corps, Vistana eld-Diivmal, who introduced the kobold to the leader of the invasion, Sultana Safaar Qosaariya eld-Sadek.   Safaar saw the potential of having an experienced sapper during the planned Siege of Jeharoa. The Sultana offered to reinstate Harrachi if he agreed to train and guide a large team of kobold miners to tunnel under the walls of the Holy City. Harrachi eagerly agreed, desperate to regain some confidence in the larger dragonborn whom he so respected. Since then, Harrachi has enthusiastically assisted with the construction of siege works and meticulously planned mining operations designed to dig under and into Jeharoa.
