The island of
Mar Mabon is home to very few settlements, owing to the limited availability of fresh water in the northwestern part of the island.
Argonsa is a rich port on the northwest coast, looking out to the
Sea of Fair Winds. The city is famed for its great
mausoleum and its sprawling covered market.
Bellos is a small port town on an island off the northern coast. The town flourishes thanks to passing trade across the
Sea of Fair Winds and its proximity to the city of Orbont.
The port town of Curmon guards the northern entrance to the perilous
Straits of Charthol. It is a lawless place, home to pirates and raiders.
Gathansin lies on the northern coast, at the western edge of the
Gathoran Sands. This port town is famed for its brightly-coloured flags and pennants, and its skyline is dominated at one end by the
Temple of Lessada, and at the other by its tall citadel that stands upon a rocky outcrop.
Jasnar's Well
Jasnar’s Well, a small farming town set around an ancient stepwell on the plains, comes alive during Windrise for the Songs of Jasnar's Well festival. Musicians gather at dawn, their music echoing through the well, as the town thanks the well for its bountiful waters. The day concludes with a communal feast where music continues into the night.
Koltomin
Koltomin, a small port on the north coast of Mar Mabon, is known as a haven for corsairs and outlaws.
The town is also home to a rare resource: a type of bioluminescent algae that only grows in its coastal waters. The algae are highly prized by alchemists and wizards, making Koltomin an unlikely hub of magical trade.
Orbont is a great port city at the entrance to the
Mabon Channel on the northern coast. It is a great hub for merchants and traders. The city is also famed for its massive and ornate stepwell.
Parn Rellas
Parn Rellas, situated on a grassy plain east of
Argonsa, is a small town known for its sheep farming.
Tabann lies along the northern coast, above the
Gathoran Sands. It is the last settlement of any size before the wild lands of the
Thalis Plains to the east. Tabann is noted for its sizeable population of
Shanda.
