Gladdendom Organization in Hastened Delight | World Anvil

Gladdendom

Gladdendom is a religion that believes in the divine duet of the god Bri and the goddess Beth, and employs Oads to further the Gladden principles and ideas of peace, respect and community.

Structure

All people of the Gladden faith are considered equals, the only difference between Oads and other people are the fact that they do nothing else but serve the Circle of Oads to further Gladden principles and ideas.

Public Agenda

The primary intentions of the Circle of Oads is to further Gladden principles and ideas, independent of a religious background.
Their secondary intentions are to gather alms and believers to support the Circle and prevent this piece of national heritage from dying out.

History

It is unclear how long Gladdendom has existed for, though it has certainly existed in ancient Cribic society, the predecessor to Tightish.

Cosmological Views

According to the Gladden faith, all things exist in the Ether and the gods exist in this place.
The gods themselves each have a realm and a world, the realm being comparable with a set of skills or abilities and the world the manifestation of these realms.
There also exist the Aman, which is our world, and Marvs, which are the fragments of previous Amans.
The creation of these worlds are described in the Bownder-Bed and also tell the Marvs are created when the gods disagree on matters, although this supposedly happens regularly and nobody but the gods notice it.

Priesthood

Oads are the religious representative of Gladdendom, and are found all around the Tightish Empire, often working together with Bards to look after local communities and teach various lessons.
