Beaumont Mine
One of the many facilities in Granmont to proudly and visibly fly the Beaumont name. This is the families oldest establishments, the one that put them on the map, and one they built to prosperity through blood sweat and tears.
Its a significant source of resources and provides access to a series of tunnels that let out all over the city and to the Croc et Griffe Winery to the south.
The silver and iron mines form the Beaumont Group's flagship operation and their largest (legal) venture. They control about 70% of Granmont's metal production, and with vertical integration of foundries even their competitors have to give them kickback to fully operate.
As the power and ambition of the family grew so did their greed, and the family has been quick to adopt the newest technologies. Technologies that are, at times, untested. Every few years the Beaumont has a new scandal on their hands resulting from the death of some workers or collapse of some streets. But as the family is well equipped to deal with these not much ever comes of it other than a growing disdain for the family. Some former employees (or their family) even have sworn vendettas against the family for their transgressions, but what is the bite of an ant to a giant?
All machines, be them of metal or flesh, get pushed to their limits by the family until they break (oftentimes catastrophically) then they get thrown to the side. Business as usual for the Beaumont family.
