Quinias Merto
A necromancer residing in the north, just outside the city of Sacrament, Quinias is a member of the secretive "Knitting Circle," comprised of mages (many in hiding) dedicated to the protection of the Art in Hariel Majour. Necromancer are rare indeed, especially in the north, and Quinias is the only member of the circle to delve into what many refer to as the "darkest Art."
Quinias is a relative loner, and lives a solitary existence with his undead hound dog, Jobo. He is rather tall, if slightly hunched, and appears to be around sixty years of age. He also seems, by all appearances, to be addicted to the mind and magic enhancing narcotic called The Grey Pith (see entry).
In an attempt to help Krimko, a fellow Knitting Circle member, Quinias gave the toymaker's adventuring party information on the Rod of Ryktuss. He also gifted to them the right hand gauntlet known as the Arcane Attractor (see entry), though the item's stability is in question.
