Zun-2 finds the Three Sisters and explains his side of the story, apologizing for his mistakes and running their mother, Huichi, into hiding. He explains that he did not kill her, though, as they had feared, and he believes that she is still alive - but he knows not where. He helps Bulan and the sisters to better understand their powers, though he is unable to cure Eris of her madness.
Before departing, he tells Bulan that he has chosen a very specific successor, whom he believes will help to right all of the wrongs of the Stewards, one way or another.
