Glory
Glory is the nickname of a the Ironhorn Rams' lead medic and surgeon. He received the nickname for giving a little more medical attention to those soldiers who were wounded while doing something "interesting," no matter how stupid. His work requires him to be emotionally detached, so he often finds things like crying to be annoying and distracting to his work. With that same detachment, he obeys military protocols regarding godglass shortages, reserving live-saving applications of cureglass to higher ranking officers only.
Glory is hatchet-faced with dark Marnish skin and wears armless spectacles on the tip of his nose.
STORY
When Squeaks is excavated from beneath the rubble of a tower, Glory tends to her broken arm.
When Idrian Sepulki carries a mortally wounded Braileer Holdest to the military medical tents and begs Glory to save him, Glory refuses, citing the godglass shortage that resulted in the policy that high-resonance cureglass only be used on Breachers, glassdancers, and high ranking officers. He tells Idrian to take Braileer to the Dying Club. Not wanting to see Braileer die, Idrian bargains with Coordinator-Lieutenant Prosotsi, promising to serve for one more year with the Ossan Foreign Legion in exchange for getting Braileer surgery. Glory does not guarantee that Braileer will survive, but Idrian realizes that if Braileer lives, he would regret nothing.
