Churian Dorlani Character in Glass Immortals | World Anvil

Churian Dorlani

Churian Dorlani is a mid-ranking first cousin of the Dorlani guild-family and grandson to Aelia Dorlani. He oversees a Dorlani owned lumbermill outside of Ossa, though he does little more than collect a salary from the position. Kissandra Vorcien considers him entirely average, not being smart enough to excel nor dumb enough to truly fail.   Churian is middle-aged, tall, and balding.   STORY   When Kissandra Vorcien questions Torlani the Breadman about what he witnessed the day of Adriana Grappo's murder, he admits to seeing Churian Dorlani running away. Churian had tripped, jostling his mask slightly, allowing Torlani to see his face. Torlani recognized the face because Churian has bought bread from him before. Kizzie proceeds to gather information on Churian, learning all about his daily life. One day, she follows him as he leaves a cockfighting ring and gains entry to his apartment in the Assembly District by bribing his mistress. Kizzie promises the mistress not to kill him, but she does question him under the influence of shackleglass. To make sure the shackleglass is working, she asks him to reveal his name and his most embarrassing secret, which entailed soiling himself at a fancy dinner. He then admits to participating in Adriana's murder because he was ordered to by his grandmother Aelia Dorlani. He also discloses that another one of the killers was Glissandi Magna. Kizzie tells Churian to sell all his belongings and leave for Marn, or she would tell Baby Montego that he killed Montego's adopted mother.   Kizzie later reports to Demir about Churian's involvement and his escape to Marn. Kizzie also later confronts Aelia about commanding her grandson to murder Adriana, which she unwillingly confirms.
