Hall of Emperors

Purpose / Function

The Hall of Emperors is a mausoleum beneath Waylon's Keep built to house the preserved bodies of the deceased former emperors of the Brekarian Empire, and now also houses the deceased bodies of former Kenerese emperors. It is also the home of any powerful artifacts the emperors once held that are not currently in use, such as the Plate of the Dawnmartyr, as well as the Eye and Hand of Vecna, as severed by Prince Derick of Brekar.

Architecture

The mausoleum is primarily built of marble and gold, though these once-pristine fixtures have tarnished overtime. The room is a large rectangle with two side-chambers. On the back wall of the main chamber is a morgue-style wall housing the marble coffins that each hold the body of a former emperor. In the left side chamber is the warded room that holds the Plate of the Dawnmartyr and other imperial armor sets and weaponry. In the right side chamber is the highly-protected room that contains the Eye and Hand of Vecna.

Defenses

The Hall itself is guarded by at least two Justiciars at all times, and generally almost four or five watch it during the day. Within the Hall itself, each of the coffins are protected by a glyphs of wardingas well as permanently applied gentle repose spells to preserve the bodies themselves.
Each of the side chambers are protected by several magical wards to prevent entry by unregistered parties, especially so in the Vecna artifact containment chamber. So far, none have bypassed these wards, but many have tried.
