Kraad Technocracy discovers a city state of Syhon Mir... and destroys it in the most terrible fashion.

Xyls that created the @Kraad Technocracy were spared by the Mechanics... but for a price. Command AI demanded equality between Xyls and their former slaves - to bring an end to stagnant ways of Xylian Dominion by an injection of fresh blood - and the complete abandonment of geneengineering.

Xyls/Kraads survived the trauma of seeing their own civilization collapsed... with their gods doing next to nothing. The Technocracy was essentially an atheist society, that decided to take a scientific (if such words can be used for mages) approach on the Dark.

And then they discovered Syhon Mir. A city state of Xyls that survived. Their exact antithesis of Technocracy that followed the old ways of Dominion. Kraads were terrified. What if they somehow made the Mechanics angry again?! What if another Black Iron War awaited them?

Kraads launched their greatest masterpiece on Syhon Mir - the Hakhten Ra. The City Killer. The technomagic between it was later on purged from the world completely. Why? Because it was supposed to be the most terrible weapon ever unleashed upon the world.

It was terrible enough for the Kraad Technocracy to be collectively traumatised by it. To the point they spent impressive ammount of work on purging the remains of Syhon Mir from the world, thus creating the Hungry Coast - a hole in the Reality that bleeds nothingness. To the point they then spent the rest of their history doing everything they could to achieve immortality due to terrible dread that there might exist an Afterlife where they will be punished accordingly to their sins.

Destruction of Syhon Mir marked an end of Kraad expansion. Never again were they capable of thinking about anything else than immortality.
