Silhaven

Silhaven has been a main feature in the Trading Belt since there has been one. What most people don't realize is that Silhaven for all its riches has little farming area and so relies on the same trading that made them rich to keep their community from starving. There is two sides the the Silhaven everyone dreams of one day visiting, famed for including the most beautiful place on earth the Oasis of Ettere there is also the dark side that funds the lavish lives of its small population. Silhaven is one of the main consumers of the slave trade and its population is between 70 and 80 percent free labor at any one time. So welcome to the most beautiful horrible gassed you ever saw. The horror show is just beyond those mountains if you dare to look.
Silhaven
The most beautiful of horror shows. Silhaven is made up of 10 main islands each with a specific purpose and product. Though the island chain itself has about a hundred islands in total.

Geography

The island of Shui'Atta: though Atta is a wasteland it is known for the vast amounts of water that mire its land the salt content killing most of the plants. Once a single island Atta has at least 24 distant sections at any given time though when the water rises there are only about three islands that stay above water constantly. Many boats have run aground on Atta's shallows as they believe they sail between two islands when in truth to go between Atta's islands is more easy walked or rafted.   The island of Bella'Erowa: Erowa is the most beautiful place on Gandrain known mostly for the Oasis of Ettere but there are many places on Erowa. Other views and places to visit include the Mountains that reach into the snow and the glowing caverns. Erowa has beautiful colored beaches and clear water all around. One can as easily walk the jungle as climb its magnetic cliffs or swim its watery caverns.   The island of Saph'Satah: Satah is known for its trees, specifaly its wide sap giving variety thanks to it long complex coastal line and varying elevation Satah has developed tree clumps that have mutated to their mini areas giving many varieties of the original tree. Mostly a warm place Satah also hosts the infamous Sil Harbor that Silhaven when named after though some locals still call the island by its old name(Hera'Esitia).   The island of Pennia: Pennia is widely known as the Isle of Zahrah, Pennia is one of the flattest fertile areas in Silhaven however its fertility does not extend far below the surface, though there are some small areas where farming is done on Pennia its mostly used to cultivate flowers and small gardening patches with a variety of root based and leafy plants. Also as one of the areas with the most fields and flat lands with a moderate temperature Pennia is the main residential area in Silhaven.   The island of Let'Tera: Tera is colder than its sister island's Satah and Pennia without the Snow of islands further North with high elevation Tera boasts some of the more exotic plants in Silhaven and is mostly known for being overly forested. Home to an especially infamous forest called the Dreaming Trees, Tera is not especially hospitable and many say the place whispers. With rocky beaches and soil Tera is also home to the salt mines.   The island of Miro'Erre: Erre is the coldest place in Silhaven it also does not host any two leggers. Meaning only animals really call the place home but the variety of animal is large. Erre has some of the highest mountains in Silhaven and no good ports, with a combination of shallow water around the island and the freezings temperature so unlike its sister islands Erre had the only icy water nine day in any direction. Without knowledge of the area though any trip to the winter wonderland is fraught and likely to kill.   The island of Fan'Anaga: Anaga is not a friendly place its residents are confined to the island sheltered by its coast called Nagia. Anaga itself is much like Erre though slitty warmer and with deeper coast lines and taller larger mountains from the dormant volcanoes (Att, Ell, Ann, Udd, named after gods).   The island of Opaldi: Opaldi is the largest island in Silhaven once even larger before an earthquake split it mostly from its sister Opaldi has lots and lots and lots of mountains. These mountains hold many beautiful gems, stones and metals that poison the cool however to many plants. The water that runs through Opaldi often makes people sick but the second largest population of Silhaven still resides on the island, including the Capitol and the Royal Cities. Opaldi has two main river basins and though there are multiple rivers running the course the two valleys are named after the Argus and the Magse rivers.   The island of Mere'Edel: though Edel is technically not an island with a small strip of land connecting it to Opaldi it's been called its own island for almost a century. It rarely gets snow but is markedly colder than Opaldi and has a mountain range of its own. The strip of water between the two island is named after the old river Nusel'Ler. Adel does provide a variety of gems and stones not found in Opaldi and its the brith place of Silhaven's forges.   The island of Rusphai: The smallest distinct island in Silhaven is a stark place known for its lack more than it's contains. Though its home to one famous cave and a small mine. The Cave is famous for many reasons including its crystal pools and sound trapping qualities. The mine is the only place in the world where some gems and a variety of pure metals can be found though very little of its mined as the locals fear it and outsiders are not allowed in.   All other islands in Silhaven have donations of the named islands similar to Nagia. These islands however are deemed unnamed since they do not hold what the natives call Points of Breech. This means the locals believe these islands are not to be guarded by their ancestors and so are less important and do not need spirit names or unique identifiers.

Fauna & Flora

The exotic plants and animals in the small area of Silhaven surpass all understanding of how people view nature and this quaint quandry leaves those of her islands so vastly under prepared to deal with their homeland's natural state. Most people avoid the upper islands in an effort to keep alive and a valiant effort it is upon the strip. Whose most abundant crop is onions.    Shui'Atta: Very few animals inhabit the dead islands and those plants that do are long dead. Though the dead trees maybe even more gorgeous dead then they where alive since no one has ever seen a live one no one can tell.   Bella'Erowa: With paint and animal life among the most diverse on the island Erowa's main feature and draw though is that for the most part her animals are those of prey and her plants more often than not though colorful are less likely to kill you.   Saph'Satah: Mostly known for its sap trees Satah holds a large variety of other sappy plants and trees that produce other products. The most infamous tree of course being the tree that bleeds or the Selador Tree as its commonly called, though not exclusive to Silhaven the tree has many uses and insides many superstitions as the bark often looks like faces.    Pennia: Known for its wide variety of flower also has a number of small root plants that grow around the island these root plants form the basis of the diet for a small prey creature called a Marmator, Marm as their commonly called is a favored pet among the locals and forging of the Marm's food sources is forbidden.   Let'Tera: Known for its dangerous forests and strangler vines most of Tera's upper expanse remains a mystery. Her lower area though do not have as large a variety as her sister islands and in much she remains pleasantly boring.   Miro'Erre: Holds a high variety of predator animals most of the known predators in Silhaven are among the codices inhabiting this stretch and as such the animals pose a high risk to any who dare enter the islands confines. Most only come her for the fires since its one of the colder places they are rich and thick.
