The people who fear the gods, the creatures of luxury, the dealers in slaves, the people of Silhaven believe in one thing do that's necessary to survive as their own natural resources do not lead to their eminent survival they must find other ways whether the business they do be savory or otherwise.

There are a sing of small islands belonging to the Silvians each one produces some luxury good or another including exotic, flowers, and furs etc.
History
Silhaven is considerably newer then her sister countries as she was settled when the people there rebelled against their home country, originally colonists stationed there to strip the islands of their goods the colonizers fell in love with the islands beauty. What they later realized was the island was never a viable place to live and with no lace to go they banned together to find a way to trade what they had but did not need for what they needed but did not have. The island is called in some places the land of the covetuse in honor of those t has seduced then led to ruin. Many leave their fortunes and lives at its shores. The traders of the world travel is Silhaven to hone their craft.
Religion
The only religion practices on the island of Silhaven is Betsifid, all other religions are strictly outlawed and those who travel to Silhaven with different religions are only allowed to stay on the island for a constellation before they have to move on. Conversion is not allowed. Slaves however are not allowed religion because they are owned they belong to the families religion and are instead seen as tools used on the after life against the gods, a good slave makes a fine weapon and is rewarded in funerary proceedings and a bad slave is sentenced to the sea.
Mythology & Lore
The people of Silhaven believe that when the colonizers came they where enlightened by their ancestors that Silhaven was the land where two places touch. They believe that they where enlightened by the first colonizer who died and ascended to become the first ancestor and that is why they had to stay and make sure no one is tricked by the deceitful gods into opening the veil. Because of this myth among the people the only true treason is to leave the post of guardian. Being pious amounts in their society to being good.
