Betsifid
A religion specific to the island of Silhaven they are the only people to believe the gods are inherently bad. The only reason the world has not ended is because the dead protect the living from the divine fire of the gods.
Structure
It is believed the head of house is the power all guardians flow through and that without one the family is without protective guardian spirits. The longer a house has been around the more protective spirits there are to keep them safe.
Mythology & Lore
There are many gods who make the bad things in the world and when the dead aren't looking they go out and try to make mischief and drive humans to end the world. However if a child is protected the guardian can drive the gods back to their side of the veil. A guardian isn't always watching so naming a child bane or similar words and then named after a god/goddess helps keep the child safe by repelling the named god/goddess and assigning them their role in the afterlife.
Divine Origins
The island of Silhaven was one of the original islands of the fan.human expansion before they where left to die, the items left behind where those of the followers of the five. These five gods pictography where reigned by the humans left behind who had been only allowed to learn how to cultivate the goods of soil and animal. The gods different aspects became the gods of the apocalypse as the humans saw it. Pin, Lin, Min, Oav, and Noa where to become new gods with a new purpose terrorize the human race.
Cosmological Views
It is believed that there where five gods beings old and cruel who lived in a realm that never changed or grew. One day the youngest Min found a tear in the realm and she passed into the next one where a world existed but nothing like her that thought about things and she thought of what a waste that was so she made something in her image but it like her was benign, without the life of her compatriots she had not learned the slow tear of time on the soul for gods like man have souls. Pin was the one who found it next and she saw her sisters creation and asked her if she wanted more and Min said yes and so Pin gave them desire. Lastly the third youngest Noa crossed and he gave them the ability to protect themselves at it was this gift that we cherish today as we died we resealed the barrier before the last two siblings could cross and give us war and pain but it wasn't enough they broke through and corrupted us but the more that died the more the gods where shoved to the other side. Human's had souls and would not be made into anything else. Soon the gods changed and even sweet Min became horrible and ugly and so to this day all gods are banished by the dead from the world they wish to retreat as their dead one.
