Old Sommer Ward
Now spoken as the Blighted Ward as a mysterious sickness cleansed the for Aridheat homes of the rich who did not like Bres' new rule.
Once a luxurious haven for the wealthy, the Blighted Ward now lies in eerie silence as twilight descends. Overgrown gardens choke the grand estates, their once pristine facades now cracked and worn. The air is heavy with the scent of decay and the faint, lingering odor of the mysterious sickness that swept through this area. The Ducard Sommer Home stands as a silent sentinel, its windows dark and empty. In the distance, Hego's Lighthouse flickers weakly, casting ghostly beams of light over the somber landscape. The Blighted Ward is a haunting reminder of the city's turbulent past and the cost of power struggles.

History
The Sommer Ward was a luxurious area where affluent families once enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of Clarion. However, thirty years ago, a resurgence of the Black Fog Plague struck the ward, decimating its population. This event, whether by design or fate, facilitated Bres Nuada’s consolidation of power, transforming the area into what is now known as the Blighted Ward.
Current State
The Blighted Ward is characterized by its derelict buildings and overgrown gardens, vestiges of its former grandeur now shrouded in gloom and neglect. The once-vibrant streets are eerily silent, save for the occasional patrol of Hollow Priests who ensure the strict adherence to Unna Maska’s edicts. The ward is devoid of defenses, left to fend for itself against the encroaching elements and the haunting memories of its past.
Society and Culture
The Blighted Ward is sparsely populated, mainly by those who have no other place to go. The fear of divine retribution and the strict laws of Unna Maska keep even the most desperate inhabitants in line. The masks, worn by all Clarion's residents, are still seen here, though they are often more tattered and less ornate than those worn in the Central Ward.
Vignettes
The Haunted Manor: Once a symbol of wealth, this grand estate now stands abandoned, its windows shattered and gardens overrun. Whispers of ghosts and lingering magic fill the air.
The Crumbling Amphitheater: A once-bustling hub of culture and entertainment, now silent and in ruins. Its stages are empty, save for the occasional presence of those seeking solitude or hidden meetings.
The Forsaken Fountain: In the heart of the Blighted Ward, this fountain once symbolized prosperity. Now, its waters run dark, and its statues are marred by time and neglect.
The Shadowed Alleyways: Narrow, twisting paths where the last remnants of the ward's population move like shadows, ever wary of the Hollow Priests.
The Blighted Ward, with its haunting silence and lingering air of past affluence, serves as a grim testament to the power struggles and mysteries that define Clarion.
