The Shatterbrand are more than a crew; they are a legend carved into driftwood and storm-beaten sails, the answer to a world that has long sought to chain the free. Born from mutiny, exile, and the relentless defiance of the sea, they are the outcasts who refused to kneel, the forgotten who carved their own throne from the wreckage of tyranny. Their banner is not one of conquest, but of reclamation—of stolen lives, broken promises, and the right to live unruled. From the shores of Eidon to the furthest reaches of the Pacuran Archipelago, their name carries weight among sailors, smugglers, and those who have nothing left but the will to fight.
The Shatterbrand follow no king, but they have their Capitainess. Where once they were scattered blades, Sossari bound them together, her voice carrying them from island to island, unknowingly bring guided by the wind itself. Though they leave the governance of Eidon in the hands of the Island Regent, the Shatterbrand are never truly gone. Their adventure moves with the tides, their victories whispered in portside taverns and shouted in the galleys of those who sail beneath them. They are not an empire, nor do they seek to be. They are the splintered, the unbroken, and the misfits that get done that which more structured organizations fail to do.

Once a band of mercenaries, The Shatterbrand etched their name into Pacuran lore by shattering the malevolent seal of Synapsid. Their valour did not start there. Dubbed the "Heroes of the Rising Tempest," they played an instrumental role in elevating Maximus to the esteemed position of Tidesking during the turbulent times of the second Pacuran civil war.
