Anvil - new
Ser Anvil
Born in Valhedge, a nation reeling from the loss of its capital as well as the loss or stalemantes of five northern wars against the Great Hold of Oriclan. The Yergs are great fighters but it bacame clear the mainland was backing the dwarves due to their trade alliances.
The Verki clan was instrumental in ending the Thousand Year Silence by housing the Six armies of man and fighting alongside them in the last push north. This deed has been forgotten by the nobles down south.
The previous Jaagr Fastien had become resentful and angered, steering the nation into further mistrust of the mainland. They knew the Highking’s and Queens allied with the dwarves for economic reasons when it was the Verki family that housed their soldiers to end the Thousand Years of Silence. The Verki remembers these old alliances and even more, they hold the generational grudges.
It was clear, with proof and heresay that the Joint Armistice Lands did not stand with Valhedge. Many a war had been fought with the odds stacked against them, with many Yergralffe lives being lost to this ceaseless fight. Fastien had held firm and built up defences. When he grew old and his mind wandered, the young and charismatic Vilkrum rallied his people. Not only did he reinvigorate his people but the youth of Valhedge began to believe in his words. Vilkrum wanted to send his resources out instead of closing them off, this was not to bolster his percieved enemies but gain insight into their chambers.
Vilkrum bolstered their ranks but began acting politically more than his predecessors. He situated some of his best warriors as members of the Varangian Guard, with the intent to have northern soldiers directly next to world leaders. When Vilkrum makes his political push to legitimize a Seventh house that saved the realm, his own house, he would have sympathy from the leaders who have had the Northmen and women at their side.
The Isrudh of Valhedge, those whose ancestors besmirched their lines and took their honour, Vilkrum gave them a chance to redeem themselves. They were tasked to leave the north and secure standing within the capital, with the intent to regain honour if they can help the Verki family gain their title and kingship.
Born in Grangar
Father Wrothe was banished and dishonoured.
Anvil was adopted by her aunt Sconce after Wrothe was sentenced to death by wandering north into the Lands of Ayre.
Anvil was trained in the magic of the Dianan Mor as well as in sword fighting and metalwork. Anvil, though dishonoured was placed amongst the Northfeith, as they could not hold land or rank. She was now Ser Anvil of Valhedge as well as Isrudh Anvil of nowhere.
She was born into the energizing reign of the stalwart Vilkrum Verki. The young folk of Valhedge were ready for change, the ancestors were beaten and downtrodden, still fighting for their people but weary after the five great northern wars that left their people decimated. The fight was still in them but once the mainland backed their adversaries, they saw they were throwing their own to slaughter by continuing to push for their revered Bërg Verki.
When Vilkrum began to show his political prowess, many began to notice the north once more but their sentiments were falling on deaf ears as many of the mainland lords were heavily aligned with the Dwarven Viscourt. Vilkrum sent out his Varangian Guard as honoured defenders of nobility. This softened the hearts to the plea of the north even though the Dwarven trade alliances were still the leading financial reason for the mainland backing the frost dwarves.
The Varangian cannot have dishonoured warriors of the north so those that wish to meet Vilkrum’s call but could not join, these Isrudh were sent on more dangerous outreach mission, to save a nobles daughter, to retrieve a lost artifact from a ancient crypt to gain favour of a governing mage or follow a rumour of a long lost descendant to the vacant Highmonarch throne.
Anvil was one of those Isrudhs tasked with leaving. She headed for the desert following rumours of a purple eyed pirate.
She travelled in the Vargen Swampland trying to chase the rumour, here she befriended a traveled named Ava who was trying to find her friend Uther. The duo met a faction called the Shatterbrand and found it safer to travel together through the swamps.
Once they arrived in Yelguk, the two secured a boat to sail to Clarion, where Uther was working as a mask crafter and where more sailors docked.
After her arrival, she heard rumour that a fight took place between a yellow skinned ogre and some blood ogres. This fight was over a pirate named Morty with purple eyes. When she tracked them down they were both injured in the Caluan Desert and captured by the Thunderfen
The goal was to take Morty to a war camp of Thunderfen and give the infamous pirate to Aur’Un Gullblud. The duo somehow escaped and Anvil tracked them down.
They were hidden near a cave that was avoided by locals.
Anvil saved them and told Morty of her mission, to secure the North by gaining favour with the next Highking.
The group was swarmed by more blood ogres so Anvil stood against them and allowed Husk and Morty to flee into the Manabane Cave.
She defeated the ogres but was wounded, the scarabs attacked as dusk fell.
The Shatterbrand found her in the Knick of time and defeated the Manabane Scarabs. They all teamed up get through the cave and track Mortimer. It turned out one of the Shatterbrand was claiming to be his son.
Cleared the cave, saved Morty and Husk from the djinn, Morty got wounded so they all made their way to Husk’s childhood caretaker, the Witch of the Glass Forest.
They reached her and she offered to care for him but the forest was being attacked by Goldfists. Anastasia’s the Glass Witch offered to escape to safety with Morty and reach out. She needed to travel to Skygarde to deal with a family matter and could care for him on the road.
She traveled with her face and gender hidden wearing intricate Yergralffe armour up until she was injured near Silvermound. She assisted the Shatterbrand in defeating Aur’Un Gullblud. The injury caved in her armour so she was struggling to breathe, an Isrudh is supposed to stay hidden until their honour is granted back to them by a Margrave or the Jaagr. Anvil removed her armour and began travelling with the adventurers while trying to obtain information about the lost heir.
