Madoc Settlement in Galfin | World Anvil

Madoc

Nestled within the untamed embrace of Dresdon, the town of Madoc is a sanctuary of healing amid the wild. Renowned for its potent medicines, brewed with the wisdom of local herbs and the skilled hands of its apothecaries, Madoc has garnered a reputation as a haven for those seeking remedies both mundane and mystical.   At its heart, the town shelters not only the infirm but also harbors secrets beneath its cobblestone streets. The enigmatic Syndicate finds solace in the shadows, their hideout discreetly connected to the labyrinthine network of storm drains beneath the town.   Guiding Madoc with a steadying hand is Vulcan, a leader whose return from training in the distant Westmoor brought not only enhanced skills but a commitment to fortify and protect. His mastery over storm magic is legendary, often captivating and terrifying newcomers in equal measure.   Madoc's resilience was tested during the Battle of Dresdon, as Lord Teyranus repurposed its buildings for fortifications. Vulcan's mastery, however, proved instrumental in rebuilding the town from the ravages of war.   Beyond the protective walls, the Sea Scallywags lurk—a band of rogues using Madoc's outskirts as their idle refuge, concocting foul poisons that taint the air.   A town known for its useful medicines.   The Syndicate has a hideout connected to a storm drain.   Madoc's leader Vulcan returned after his training in Westmoor to help the town.   Vulcan likes to scare and amaze new visitors with his storm magic.   The town has an orphanage and an inn.   During the Battle of Dresdon, Lord Teyranus used buildings from Madoc to build fortifications.   The town did what it could to rebuild and Vulcan's magic help a lot   The Sea Scallywags have taken residence outside of town but they just sit around using a foul concoction of poison and yandu.   The town is frequented by dragon turtle attacks.
