Director of Statehood
The Director of Statehood serves as the internal face of the Arshanov Federation and commander-in-chief of the Zulu Defence Forces, the Federation's internal defense and policing force. His primary purpose as head of the Internal Sector is to manage and oversee inter-planetary communications, logistics, industry, local governments, and other civilian sectors of the Federation.
Appointment
Similarly to the Ambassador Director, the Director of Statehood is elected by vote of the Arshan people. Unlike the other directors, however, the appointment of a Director ofStatehood has a direct effect on the Arshan people, and is considered the most important of all voting processes throughout the Federation - An event publicized as broadly as the pre-war presidential elections of the UASF's ancestor country, the United States of America.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
While a Director generally serves until retirement, they can be removed from The Trizonov if deemed unfit by either the other directors, or by the top-level staff of the Internal Sector. For example, a Director that violates Arshan laws and regulations could be arrested and stripped of his title on the order of the other members of the Trizonov.
Equivalent Titles
The Director of Statehood is technically the equivalent of the other two directors in the Trizonov. In practice, however, the State Director's position makes them the most politically powerful figure in the Federation. Many of the Director's duties are comparable to those of both the Grand Minister and the Emperor of the Sol Empire, and of the modern-day President of the United States of America.
