Ambassador Director
The Ambassador Director maintains diplomacy and serves as the face of the UASF to other factions by managing contact with foreign states and parties of interest. This is done while retaining close ties with the Director of Statehood to ensure the Federation's interests are protected. They also oversee the operations of both the military intelligence department and the espionage division of the Arshan military.
Qualifications
To be considered a valid candidate for the position of Ambassador Director, a candidate must show exemplary experience in diplomatic efforts; the prospective Director is expected to have one of the best records for interacting favorably with foreign powers while retaining a strong connection to the interests of the Federation. Often times these possible candidates gain experience through the Foreign Sector itself, garnering knowledge and working their way to positions of prominence in the sector internally before opening themselves up to public vote for the position of Director. Usually, the prospective Directors are direct subordinates of the previous Director.
Appointment
The Ambassador Director is elected by a vote of the Federation population from a selection of other candidates of similar standing. These candidates are self-nominated from experienced members of the Foreign Affairs department, typically high-level staff that were direct subordinates of the previous Director. Though favorable experience and a public image or at least a record of favorable diplomatic efforts can greatly assist the campaign of a prospective Director.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
While a Director generally serves until retirement, they can be removed from The Trizonov if deemed unfit by either the other directors, or by the top-level staff of the Foreign Sector. For example, a Director that violates Arshan laws and regulations could be arrested and stripped of his title on the order of the other members of the Trizonov.
Equivalent Titles
Within the Federation, the title is roughly equivalent to the other members of the The Trizonov, albeit with authority and responsibilities in differing fields of the government. Additionally, the Ambassador Director can be compared to the Sol Empire's Grand Minister, whom acts as the empire's head of state and embassy.
