The children of the village bravely trek out at night to search for the cave that was rumored to have a mummy living in it. Instead they found Antiosas and Persephone, two refugees from the Gray Plains. Mysteriously, the children are able to cure Antiosas of her crippling rot.
Knights of Umber are formed to keep order in the increasing unrest. Gregor Umber, Leader of the Knights of Umber and faithful ally to the Queen, is brutal in his enforcement of the laws, though his valiant reputation divides the population on their opinions of the new Knight Order.
One night while hunting, Thomas and Daniel Skinner come across a severely wounded Ewenn Soizic while they are returning from a hunt that found them caught in a snowstorm.

She leaves early for Forgested, only to be caught by the Queen's men who were searching for her. Tired of running, Ewenn chooses to make her last stand. Though severely outnumbered, Ewenn inflicts heavy casualties before being brutally slain herself.
Having been on her trail the day after her departure, the rescue party from Meadowbrook is devastated to learn of Ewenn's demise. They bring her body back to the hamlet and begin preparing for her funeral.

A small group is formed to seek out Kast Elieg, the leader of the Band of Crows and a former friend of the inhabitants of Meadowbrook. The party, consisting of Vash, Timothy, Callum, Colton, Lily, Samantha, and Ethan, head towards Gar's homestead in the first stop on their journey to find Kast Elieg.
The party arrives at Gar's place of residence and rest for the day. Gar gifts the group with custom weaponry and gear that he planned to deliver to them the next time he was going to be in Meadowbrook. Nara Ayntine and Callum begin getting closer.
Arriving in the village of Forgested, the Good Travelers begin their search for the Band of Crows.
A few miles from Forgested after the party's departure, dark clouds began coming in quickly from the North and soon the Good Travelers are trapped in a severe rainstorm. They decided to push forward in order to make it to Lundenwic as soon as possible. Vash begins to grow ill towards the end of the evening.
The Good Travelers arrive at Lundenwic and see the realities of the drudges of society.
The Good Travelers' risky ploy pays off and they are finally granted entrance to Lundenwic. Inside, they meet a familiar face, and encounter new friends.

The Good Travelers and the Magnussons discover the entrance to the Black Shrine in the side of the Drumcheith Mountains on to find that there is an abandoned camp set up near the entrance.
The next morning, the Good Travelers journey into the Black Shrine and find that it is occupied by a clan of Duergar slavers, but more lies behind this threat than first meets the eye.
While traveling back to Lundenwic, the Blue Clover caravan comes across the site of a conflict between a band of brigands and an adventuring group. The adventurers clearly got the better of the bandits, but grieve as one of their members was slain in the skirmish.
