Grandpa Callum somberly arrives with Samantha and Ethan, two children his adventuring party saved while investigating cult activity near Savaria on the Ventruvian Frontier.

Grandpa Callum somberly arrives with Samantha and Ethan, two children his adventuring party saved while investigating cult activity near Savaria on the Ventruvian Frontier. Sadly, they could not save Ethan and Samantha's hamlet, which was wiped out by the cult they were pursuing. Ethan lost his right arm and Samantha is visibly disturbed by the trauma she suffered. Grandpa Callum asks if Ethan and Samantha can stay with someone in Meadowbrook. They are happy allowed to stay with the Quelemuexs.    While in Meadowbrook, Grandpa Callum and his party mourn their fallen comrades, Revum the fighter and Brendeldac the cleric, who died seeing the mission complete. Ruzin, the surviving twin brother to Revum, is especially devastated by his siblings passing. He and the rest of Grandpa Callum's party are comforted by Callum, Vash, and Timothy, giving them solace in their loss.
