History

Lynia is the youngest of the countries of Moradin. They were established about two-thousand years ago at the culmination of The Long War. Waged between the Chromatic Dragons of Arux and the Metallic Dragons of Vivex. The Chromatic Dragons had enslaved the mortal populations of Arux and built grand throne cities as testaments to their power and influence.   A Red Dragon named Mhetor usurped power from the Chromatic Council in a coup d'etat. The war was at a stalemate, with the other countries hesitant to aid the Vivexian forces. But within Aurex, there was an uprising. The uprising was born through the leadership of a human slave, Lynne, and her chromatic dragon companion, Jyk’aver. The two together bonded as Dragon and Rider and through many small victories within Arux they destabilized the country and over through their great Dragon Overlords and freed their slave army to fight beneath their banner for independence.   Once Vivex finally overcame the destabilized Aurex they left the leaders of the rebellion in charge of the now devastated country. Lynne and Jyk’avir rebuilt the region. Amassing thousands together under an iron fisted rule to never again be oppressed by dragonkind and asserting that in Lynia, all were equal under the sword. Aurex was renamed Lynia, in honor of their first Empress. Many freedoms were established by the first Imperial Decree including freedoms of religion, movement, and speech.   There was a time in Lynia where all was fair and calm, it was known as the First Peace across Moradin. At the end of the First Peace, Lynne and Jyk’avir had set their sights on expansion. First they began seeding land away from Sidion to the South. Then encroached upon the slopes of Vivex to the North. This ignited a second war, but it only lasted for three days and three nights. Sideon, to the south, had somehow infiltrated Lynia’s Capitol, Centerpointe, and dethroned Lynne and Jyk’avir. Forcing the pair to flee to the Savage Lands.
