The tyrannical rule of Osham, who was supposed to be regent for his infant daughter.

Osham was the husband of Empress Guuyi. She died while giving birth to their first child, a daughter named Elii. According to tradition, the infant was to be named Empress and her aunt was to rule as regent until Elii's 20th birthday. Guuyi's sister was far from Temru at the time, so Osham named himself Emperor Regent, claiming he would step down when Guuyi's sister arrived. Once she did, he failed to abdicate and the military, which was primarily loyal to him, enforced his rule.
