Pyramids

If you dare to go to the surface of Desert, you might notice large triangular structures in the distance. These are located to the south west of Desert, near the Cliffs of Å+*4~. The structures you see are the three Pyramids - the only structures found in the distant land called “The Truth Is Closer Than You Think”.

History of Pyramids

History of the pyramids is long and shrouded in mystery. They are believed to be the oldest structures in the world, considered to be ancient even in the ancient world. In fact, they were already considered to be ancient in a society that was considered to be ancient even by the standards of the society we now already consider to be ancient itself. If you manage to figure this one out, you’ll only begin to understand how old these Pyramids are. To make things more concrete, it’s speculated by some modern day historians that the Pyramids could be 14000 years old, of not more. Considering their remarkable age, it’s no surprise only little is known of their origin and it’s difficult to find the truth among the various srange theories.

The one theory that’s the most accepted today, as it seemed to be quite popular among ancient theorists as well, is that the pyramids were in fact built by aliens. Well, by aliens who themselves would be considered ancient by now. There was never any concrete evidence on who exactly those aliens were, and it’s unknown if they are in any way related to the aliens we know today. Some believe this to be true, but still others claim that the aliens weren’t aliens all, but were actually gods. This could very well be true, but it seems that towards the end, the people of the ancient world had a pretty distant relationship with their gods, so they weren’t able to obtain any information from their gods.

Pyramids Today

Whatever their origin may be, the Pyramids were left abandoned and forgotten during the apocalyptic era, and were rediscovered only late after people have returned to the surface. When they were rediscovered on 29.7.2006, nothing was really known about them, but it was more than obvious they were buildings of great importance. Due to their impressive sizes, the three Pyramids were named "The Grand Pyramid", "The Significant Pyramid" and "The Remarkable Pyramid", from the biggest to smallest one. New information about them found since then is scarce and questionable to say the least, but the Pyramids were reclaimed and repurposed by local people. As it is believed they had some spiritual or religious meaning in the past, people still use them for similar purposes today. They do seem to attract aliens as well, and many sightings and abductions are reported in the area every year.

The three seem to be solid block structures for the most part, so not much could be done inside them. Moles have decided to leave the pyramids themselves as they were, and build below them instead. Seeing how all the settlements in Desert are built below the ground, it seemed like a fitting idea. And below them, they started building large mazes, spanning across the entire area below a pyramid. Walls of these mazes are adorned with wall paintings, as mystical as the Pyramids themselves are. They depict many different scenes of important historical events and scenes from Glitter Bible, along with words of prayers carved in the stone walls alongside paintings. Many like to come here today to admire the art, learn about the past, or wander these corridors lost in prayer or meditation.

Dimly lit corridors and incense floating through the air of this area that is hard to properly ventilate have a strange effect on a person walking through here. Some may experience strange hallucinations and others said they saw Glitter God himself down here. Regardless of whether this is true or not, walking through these corridors is a spiritual experience for all who visit.

Tourism

Pyramids are today a popular tourist destination for people from all over the world, and local residents are happy to take advantage of that. They welcome visitors to their town to stay at the hotels, explore local shops and restaurants, buy souvenirs, and of course, go on guided tours to the Pyramids and inside. All of this is offered at pretty high prices, of course, due to the popularity of the area. But if you have money to spend and an adventurous spirit, this is a destination you simply must experience at least once in your lifetime.
