Temple fairies
Every temple needs fairies to run smoothly. These are here to care for the temple, bring fresh tulips, manage people's offerings, have daily prayers and meditations, and offer advice to people when needed. But these temples can't run themselves, and fairies will chose one among themselves as a head fairy of temple.
How is temple fairy chosen?
The title of the head fairy can be only given to the one who has proven himself ot be worthy. Though not nesessarily, this title usually goes to the oldest fairy, or the one who has worked for the temple the longest.
Over the years they would work on differrent positions in the temple and learn about how everything in the temple works. They would slowly work their way up from only being in charge of the tulips, to being able to offer advice to the visitors of the temple. It will take them many years before they are skilled and familiar enough with all that goes on in the temple, before they are ready to take on the leading role.
A fairy will get their spot as the head fairy, after the previous head fairy leaves. When the spot is empty, it might be weeks before the spot gets filled again. During this time, all of the fairies who qualify and are interested will apply for the position. All of the fairies who applied will then have to pretty much work it out between themselves who the next head fairy will be. They should be wise and mature enough to work it out in a civilized manner, and chose one the all agree is the best to fill the spot.
What does the head fairy do?
The head fairy of the temple is just that - the ehad fairy of temple. He will now take full charge of the temple and keep track of all that goes in it. Lower rankinf fairies will be in charge of their own thing, but head fairy will always be the one who has the final say in how things are done. Head fairy will also be the one in charge of all of the offerings, he's really the one who will communicate with Glitter God and keep track of all of the goods that go through the temple.
The offices of each larger temple also keep track of most of the official business the moles have to do. These office workers are the ones taking care of all of it, but no paper is official valid wihtout the head fairy's siganture on it.
But apart from taking care of their temple, head fairies of temple may also apply to become a head fairy of districts. Because of this, they have to attend meetings with other temple head fairies and the currend head fairy of district. To prove their worth and abilty to become a head fairy of district they also have to participate in a city building game. In this game they will have to deal with differen scenarios based on real life situtations, or completely made up ones.
When does the head fairy leave?
Once you become a head fairy, there's no telling how long you may stay in this position. Head fairies may resign for a variety of different reasons. Fairies often choose to resign by their own choice. Sometimes they just wish to retire, sometimes they move away or sometimes they just want to change their job. They may leave becuase they no longer feel capable of keeping up with the responsibilites of this job, or maybe situations in their personal lives don't allow them to keep this job. Another reason for leaving can also be that they were chosen to become the next head fairy of district. After the head fairy leaves, the process of choosing a new one begins once more.
