Golden Bald Mermaid Award
Appearance
“Real" award
The Golden Bald Mermaid Award is a small statue made of solid gold that looks like a mermaid. Well, what people speculate the mermaids would look like anyway.
Being made of solid gold, it’s unexpectedly heavy, despite the golden statue on a wooden, cube shaped base being no taller than 15cm. The entire statue with the wooden base is around 20cm tall. The base of the statue often has a golden plate on it, with the name of the winner and the achievement for which the award was given out.
The gold used is only the finest gold, freshly harvested from the golden trees in Heaven, and the wood comes from Fairy Gardens.
The value of these is unfathomable. Just the amount of gold in these is insane, but they have much higher emotional value to the winner of one of those.
"Lesser" award
Golden Bald Mermaids are given out only for the highest of achievements, but you’ll see them being given out in many other events. These aren’t the “real” statues, but only lesser ones. These aren’t made of solid gold, but lighter and less valuable materials, though they are still gold plated. These also won’t have the golden plate with the name and the achievement of the winner on them - they are usually given out in the contests where the winner isn’t yet known in advance. Yes, the Golden Bald Mermaids you see given out in the Man Who Looks Like Scarlett contest are only the lesser ones.
When are they given out?
The “real” Golden Bald Mermaid Awards are only given out at the most important annual events, such as:
- Worldwide Music Awards
- Worldwide Movie Awards
- Summer Sports Games
- Art and Literature Awards
- Best of Social Media Influencers
- and more
