Thaalruc Ravovax is a male brass dragonborn and Constal within the Purple Dragons. He is also a paladin of Bahamut and a member of the Order of the Gauntlet. During the Tyranny of Dragons, Ravovax was a member of the adventuring party that reported to the Council of Waterdeep, and was instrumental in the defeat of the Cult of the Dragon and Tiamat at the Well of Dragons.

Special Equipment. Ravovax wears a suit of adamantine plate armor, a cloak of protection, and a pair of winged boots (accounted for in his statistics). He wields a holy avenger, a +1 shield, and a +1 dagger.
Divine Smite. When Ravovax hits a creature with a melee weapon attack, he can expend one spell slot to deal radiant damage to the target, in addition to the weapon’s damage. The extra damage is 2d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 5d8. The damage increases by 1d8 if the target is an undead or a fiend, to a maximum of 6d8.
Aura of Protection. All creatures of Ravovax’s choice within 10 feet of him (including himself) gain the following benefits:

• Creatures gain a +4 bonus to all saving throws.
• Creatures cannot be frightened.
• Creatures have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects

Shield Master. Ravovax adds his shield’s AC bonus (+3) to any Dexterity saving throw he makes against a spell or other harmful effect that only targets him, so long as he isn’t incapacitated.
Sentinel. Creatures provote opportunity attacks from Ravovax even if they take the Disengage action before leaving his reach. In addition, when Ravovax hits a creature with an opportunity attack, the creature’s speed becomes 0 for the rest of the turn.
Spellcasting. Ravovax is an 8th-level spellcaster. His spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 16, +8 to hit with spell attacks). He regains his expended spell slots when he finishes a short or long rest. He has the following paladin spells prepared:
1st level (4 slots): command, compelled duel, cure wounds, detect magic, protection from evil and good, shield of faith
2nd level (3 slots): lesser restoration, prayer of healing, protection from poison, warding bond, zone of truth
3rd level (3 slots): aura of vitality, daylight, dispel magic, remove curse, revivify
4th level (3 slots): banishment, death ward, guardian of faith

Actions

Multiattack. Ravovax makes two attacks with his holy avenger or dagger.
Holy Avenger. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d8 + 7) slashing and 4 (1d8) radiant damage. If the target is undead, it takes an additional 10 (2d10) radiant damage.
+1 Dagger. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d4+6) piercing damage.
Lay on Hands (80 charges/day). Ravovax touches a creature and can spend as many charges as he wants to restore an equivalent number of hit points. He can also spend 5 charges to neutralize one poison or disease affecting it. He can cure multiple diseases or poisons with a single use of lay on hands, expending charges separately for each one.
Cleansing Touch (4/day). Ravovax touches a willing creature and ends one spell or effect on it.

Bonus Actions

Shield Bash. If Ravovax takes the Attack action on his turn, he can use a bonus action to try to shove a creature within 5 feet of him with his shield.

Reactions

Divine Allegiance. When a creature within 5 feet of Ravovax takes damage, he can use his reaction to magically substitute his own health for that of the target creature, causing that creature to not take the damage. Instead, Ravovax takes the damage. This damage to him can’t be reduced or prevented in any way.
Shield Master. If Ravovax is subjected to an effect that allows him to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, he can use his reaction to take no damage if he succeeds on the saving throw, interposing his shield between himself and the source of the effect.
Sentinel. When a creature within 5 feet of Ravovax makes an attack against a target other than him, he can use his reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the attacking creature.
