The Tentacle Face Playhouse

The Tentacle Face Playhouse is one of Waterdeep's most bizarre attractions. Yes even more bizarre than that, you know the one. It is owned and run by the Illithid Sev'ardin.

He first appeared in Waterdeep in the 1390s on a travailing merchants cart. After being detained by the City Watch he was interviewed by Elminster who determined that he was safe for the city and not malicious.

Sev'ardin then went on to spend a vast amount of money he had brought with him, mainly composed of precious gems and art. To fund the construction of a theater, The Tentacle Face Playhouse.

He then hired a staff and put on the first show two months after he purchased the theater. The ensuing play titled The Hag and The Flumph was a smash hit. Mainly because it was so strange and the plot so unfathomably bad that it had to be seen to be believed. The most mind boggling directorial decisions in the history of Faerûn were made. The main character The Hag was played by a Giff in poorly executed makeup, a trio of actors dressed as Githyanki walked on stage in the middle of a dramatic scene and broke into a kick line and sung about how bad they were at fighting, and then during the finale the entire cast broke into an explanation of the rules of transmutation in patter song form.

It was recently found after an investigation by the Department of Skullduggery that Sev'ardin was kidnaping various rare races of Faerûn. He lured them in under the guise of odd casting choices putting the entire point of the theater in question. He was killed in battle when confronted by every member of the Department except for Agent Verres and Bloody Stupid Johnson.
Trivia
>The most profitable play preformed in the playhouse was a tragedy titled Space Lizards From The Outer Planes.
>The most destructive play was A Comedy in Red about a pair of Devils who want to leave the Nine Hells, elope, and open a book store. It was only shown once and ended early in the first act when Sev'ardin summonded a Chain Devil on stage to play the main character.
>The playhouse has been fined upwards of 17 times for public decency violations due to the fact that Sev'ardin does not realize that public indecency is a thing, neither do most of his cast.
