Sightless Ones

The Sightless Ones are the Qoh survivors of the Black Scourge, now blind and unable to reproduce.

History

Few Qoh survived the Blight. Most of the survivors are those who fled Quinli before the curse reached them, though they were eventually caught in Amalar or Iklaroth. The Sightless Ones are those survived the curse's effects, though they lost their eyes, and retain blackened veins. Some say their hearts are as dark as their blood, turning them insane and angry as punishment for bringing the Blight upon the world.
Most Sightless Ones attempted at one point to live among the other inhabitants of Amalar, though unsuccessfully, as even magic illusions can't hide black blood. Many then chose to join the Stygian Order, angered by their lot in life. Those who didn't, founded a small settlement at the base of the Shrewwin Mountains, near lake Isotarn.
Now, some Sightless Ones still try to maintain some image of normalcy, casting illusions to make them seem human. Their blackened veins still show, same as always, so they hide in swaths of fabric and armor. Many also use charms fashioned to resemble eyes that they place in their sockets, embedded with magic that makes them seem almost real.
