Eyila

A once vibrant world, Eyila was home to several races of beings: the Qoh, the Vir (also called "elves"), and man. They lived as harmoniously as can be expected –– wars, death, plagues, but holidays, births, and joy, as well. Magic played a large role in the lives of many, but some misused it. The consequences of those actions were far more deadly than anyone anticipated.   They gave it many names: the Blight, the Black Scourge. It devoured the world, indiscriminate in its devastation. The land and sea turned black, plants and animals alike withering away until all that remained was their skeletons. The Qoh, Vir, and humans affected by the curse found themselves vomiting black sludge, eyes melting in their skulls and running down their cheeks like tears, fingers and toes drying up and falling off.   Now, 700 years after the Scourge killed Eyila, it remains in ruins, albeit inhabited ruins. But there are those who would seek to destroy the tentative peace in Eyila, and bring a second Blight upon its inhabitants.
