Kakia - The Scaled Tyrant
Kakia, the Scaled Tyrant, is a near Deific Archdragon, and the Mother of all Dragons.
Kakia is an evil and tyrannical figure, a treacherous creation of Khronos who is largely attributed with starting the Dragon-Elf War of the Silver Age, betraying the Gods in the process. In the aftermath of the war, Kakia was imprisoned within the Dungeons of the Damned of the Underworld, as punishment for her crimes. Kakia is said to remain imprisoned this day, struggling relentlessly to escape her bonds, which are reportedly carefully maintained by Hades himself.
Kakia is the embodiment of Vice and Disorder, the twin and polar opposite of the Archdragon Aretos, the embodiment of Virtue and Order. A union between two Archdragons, during the early years of the Golden Age, birthed the first Dragons, and while it is said that the two Archdragons used to have a close relationship, after Kakia’s betrayal during the Dragon-Elf War, the two's relationship is now said to be forever shattered, with them now despising each other.
Despite not being a Deity, Kakia has a history of worship, usually as part of the Draconic Pantheon, alongside Aretos, an unofficial pantheon primarily worshiped by Kobold, and historically by the Dragonborn of Vracaris. Kakia is also rumoured to we worshipped by a cult of Dragon worshipers, who are attempting to free Kakia.
Like the Dark Deities, due to her evil reputation, Kakia is usually only referred to only by epithets, such as the “Scaled Tyrant” or the “Mother of Dragons”, as to avoid invoking her or drawing her attention.
Dragon Queen's Betrayal
Kakia is said to have secretly stirred up the conflict of the Dragon-Elf War, lending aid to her Draconic children, with the goal to conquer Exorsia for herself.
Upon realising Kakia's betrayal, the Gods sent Aretos to confront his sister and plead for her surrender, but Kakia would not listen to reason, and along with her loyal children, she turned on Aretos, and they did battle across the land.
Kakia and her allies was eventually defeated by an alliance of Dragons, Dwarves and Elves, and for her crimes, the Gods imprisoned Kakia within the Dungeons of the Damned of the Underworld.
Appearance
Kakia is usually depicted as a colossal Noble Dragon, quadrupedal, with reddish, metallic-like scales, the colour of rusted iron, and horns that extend from her temples, before curving back to join together in the form of a halo-like crown. Kakia's draconic breath weapon is said to be a deadly stream of necrotic, shadowy fire.
Kakia is also recorded taking the humanoid shape of a beautiful Elven woman, with clay brown skin, curly, mid-length black hair, and gold coloured eyes.
Personality
Kakia is described as a being of pure evil, a cruel and tyrannical Dragon who desires dominion over creation and the subjugation of all living things. Kakia is said to hate all life that isn't her Draconic children, seeing them all as beneath the superior species, bearing an even greater hatred towards the Gods and her brother Aretos.
