Iwawra

Iwawra is a village found on the southern coast of the island of Kikori, located in the south of Cheikun.

Iwawra is known for it's criminal activity, particularly smuggling and illicit trade, with strong evidence suggesting that the village is controlled by the Kikori Triad syndicate. Much of the Triad's trade is believed to pass through Iwawra, with all travellers heading to Yuanshu, the capital of the Kikori Triad's operations, forced to pass through Iwawra, before travelling up the mainland, where Yuanshu is believed to be located, and where most of the Triad's dealings go down.

Despite it's evident connections to the Kikori Triad, Iwawra has consistently dismissed such claims, standing strong in it's independence, and claiming that any move against Iwawra by the Khadan Dynasty would be an act of colonial expansion. The Khadan Dynasty has also been unable to make a decisive move on Iwawra, in part due to it's defensive location, and due to the illusive nature of it's criminal population, who vanish as soon as Glassblade soldiers arrive, with predictions of extended control over the village being costly.

Government

Iwawra is governed by a Master, who oversees the trade and goings on in the city. The Master is said to be appointed by the locals, but they are likely in the pocket of the Kikori Triad.

Defence

Iwawra is defended by a garrison of local soldiers, made up from it's population. It is also likely defended by agents of the Kikori Triad.

Commerce

Iwawra has a small trade of local goods with the local trade ships that connect Cheikun and Soliemia. It is also rumoured to have black market connections, though no strong evidence has been able to confirm this.

Geography

Iwawra is a village, positioned at the end of a small bay, connected to the waters of the Emerald Tide.

The village itself is mostly comprised of simple, wooden buildings, many with thatched rooves. The village also has a sizable harbour for passing trade ships, as well as a large central bazar for trade.
