Minakanai
Minakanai is a small village settled on the southern coast of Ongat Isle, located in the north east of Cheikun.
Minakanai is an independent city-state that is significant only for it's proximity to the Long Monastery, an elite and secretive monastery of monks, known as the Yingzi Shou, located somewhere north of the village, near the base of the Ongat Peaks.
Government
Minakanai is governed by the village elder, the oldest and fittest member of the village, who has the final say on all decisions made by the village. The elder of Minakanai is also supported by the Abbot of Long Monastery.
Defence
Minakanai has no official defence outside of its population. Minakanai may also call on the aid of the monks of the Long Monastery in times of crisis.
Commerce
Minakanai has a small trade of fruits and other local produce, with it's primary trade partner being the nearby village of Gurvan. Minakanai is also likely to supply the local Long Monastery with food and other resources.
Geography
Minakanai is a small village, positioned on the southern coast of Ongat Isle, located on an isthmus near the mouth of the Minakanai River, with flows down from the Ongat Peaks, not far from the nearby jungle.
The village itself is comprised of mostly wooden houses, with thatched rooves, and a small harbour that sits on the sea.
Notable Locations
Long Monastery
Long Monastery is the base of operations and training grounds of the secret Yingzi Shou organisation. It's exact location is unknown, with those that attend the monastery being sworn to secrecy.
