The Khadan Dynasty is a Diarchy with a large and varied citizenship. They rule over most of the settlements on the continent of Cheikun.
The Khadan Dynasty have a unique culture and traditions found nowhere else in the world. They have a strong tradition of fishing and are famed for their practice of multiple forms of martial arts. They also have a tradition of practising spirituality, preaching balance and unity with the world around them, heavily regulating farm and lumber land, not wanting to upset the natural world and the spirits that reside there.
The Khadan Dynasty employ a strict policy of isolationism, preferring to remain separate from the rest of the world, fearing the imbalance foreigners would bring to Cheikun. International trade is heavily regulated and foreigners are rarely permitted access to the continent.

Government:
The Khadan Dynasty is governed by two monarchs known as the Jade Emperor and the Jade Dragon, an ancient alliance between the Khada Royal Family and the Jade Dragon Zyadana and her children. The position of monarch is usually passed down to the eldest child upon the death or abdication of the previous monarch, with the Jade Dragon sharing power with many monarchs during their reign.
Settlements under the control of the Khadan Dynasty and districts within the capital of Khada are governed by officials known as Magistrates. Magistrates are trained in law and politics and are appointed to their position by the Emperor.
Military & Local Guard:
The Khadan Dynasty is protected by the Grassblades, a small yet elite military of highly trained warriors. They are named for the jade coloured swords that they carry. Members of the Grassblades usually come from the noble or middle class.
Each settlement under the control of the Khadan Dynasty also has a small garrison of Grassblades, usually half a dozen warriors under the command of a Shogun. The majority of the Grassblades are located in the capital city, Khada, protecting the royal family.
Religion:
The Khadan Dynasty practise a policy of religious freedom, allowing its citizens to worship whomever they wish, only outlawing the worship of Dark Deities, such as
Apophis and
Tartarus.
Due to the Dynasties tradition of fishing there is a large religious following of
Poseidon. There is also a large following of the gods
Artemis and
Demeter, due to the cultural focus on balance with nature.
Citizens of the Khadan Dynasty also uniquely practice Spirituality, separate from the worship of the Gods, with many monasteries set up over Chiekun dedicated to its practice.
Social Hierarchy:
The Khadan Dynasty has the standard monarchal class system that is primarily structured around property ownership and wealth.
Royal Class: The highest social class in the dynasty, consisting of members of the royal family and the children of the Jade Dragon.
Noble Class: The noble class consists of the wealthiest members of society. Members of the noble class own multiple properties or businesses.
Middle Class: The middle class consists of families that own property, usually those who own a business or a store.
Working Class: The working class consists of citizens who don’t own property. Working class citizens usually work for someone else and live in rented accommodation.
Legal System & Laws:
All crimes are brought before a Magistrate, they then use the evidence provided to sentence the accused. Most crimes lead to a fine or prison sentence with the death penalty exclusively saved for murderers or treason. Crimes against the royal family, Jade Dragons or Grassblades are especially damning.
Common Laws Against: Theft, Slavery, Trespassing, Tax Avoidance, Property Damage, Kidnapping, Assault, Murder, Treason.
Unique Laws Against: Worship of Dark Gods, Hunting Magical Creatures, Pollution.
Alcohol & Drugs: There are no laws around alcohol or drugs.
