A section of the Betrayers Rise, an ancient temple and fortress that was the seat of power of the demon princes of the Abyss during the Calamity. It is now, apparently, the site of suspicious Children of Malice Activity. A phase spider has made its nest in a natural stone cavern, just inside the entrance, where it lies in wait for prey with its ettercap allies.
History
Legend has it that in the penultimate years of The Calamity, the Prime Deities Moradin, the All-Hammer and Sehanine, the Moonweaver made use of a thane of power to create an environment so appealing to Lolth, the Spider Queen that she would be drawn to it and thus vulnerable to being trapped and contained there. It is said that one of her powerful champions was entombed there, and remains incarcerated even after the departure of her matron at the moment of The Divergence.
