Master / Mistress
The title of true nobility is grantable by a baron or greater title. This is mostly a title of esteem, but most high nobles -as they are commonly referred to by- have a somewhat unofficial place in the governing of whatever was the cause for their gain of the noble status.
Only the head of the household actually bears power and title and this is expected to be the same person who actually owns the house and its land. Their children are able to inherrit this title as it is hereditary, but passing on that power strips the previous holder of their land and power. When outside of power, the kin of the high nobles are seen under the gentlemanly title of 'sir' or 'madam'.
