Empire of Lowvire
Some say it is true rulership to rule with an Iron Fist, I disagree. Fear of punishment doesn't rule people. An iron fist can hit hard, yes. But a punishment only leaves a person able to commit crime again. No, punishment doesn't rule. Death does.
Standing easily as the most powerful organization in the world, the Lowvires run the world's largest empire, spanning approximately 40% of the world's landmass. The Lowvires are reputable as impulsive and power hungry, known to fight not for king and country, but because an opportunity arises to grow the empire.
The empire has always been ruled by a member of the Lowvire family and, in 7 AD, it was made law that only a true-blooded Lowvire could be crowned emperor. This law is called the ESVI Convention.
The tales of the Empire of Lowvire are soaked in blood from day one. In the early years, when humanity was the outcast among races, the Lowvire family rose up the ranks of fame heading the revolutionary forces. When the Lowvires marched an army through the Valley of a Thousand Sons, they took the Belethian capital by surprise. A short, bloody siege followed with as many civilian deaths as military deaths. This marked the Lowvires as dangerous and not to be trifled with. That reputation precedes them to this day, despite some people's effort to cover up their history.

The Empire controls the lion's share of eastern Belethia, and a collection of islands that surround it. This totals to around 40% of the world's landmass.
Aside from the massive territory, the Empire holds the largest military in the world in proportion to its wealth and size.
Currency
The Gold Piece; CrownsA Crown Piece is marked only with the mint around the edge, a crown imprinted on one side and the imperial crest on the other, it is one among few coins that are not marked with a face. This is because it is expected that multiple emperors will pass by the time the money becomes irrelevant. It has a ~15% purity of gold, combined with electrum and silver it is among the most expensive coins in the world.
The Silver Piece; Sovereigns
A Sovereign Piece is marked with the portrait of St. Thohtenhour who is perhaps the most important imperial who ever lived, and the imperial crest on the tail. A Sovereign is around 40% silver but mostly tin, which is fairly standard for currencies due to the deceptive number of uses for silver trumping the need for silver minting.
The Copper Piece; Rose
A Rose, or 'Imperial Rose' as it is more often called bears the imperial lilies on the head side and the imperial crest on the tail. It contains ~80% copper with some ferrous metals mixed in, making it among the purest of copper pieces in the world.
History
The Lowvire Empire's humble beginnings lie with the early rebellions against discrimination toward humans when Cerelum, the god of civilization, died.
The rebellious 'Shards of a Dead God', as they were called, amassed such a formidable force that eventually they forcefully occupied an Azatel city, proclaiming themselves no longer a revolution, but an empire.
Demography and Population
- The largest type of territory is a Sovereignty. Ruled by either a Sovereign or a Viceroy, these are permenant 'kingdoms' all based within the empire.
- Below a sovereignty is a Duchy. With a DUke or Duchess at its head, a Duchy's job is to take a catch-all method to ruling that below them.
- Under a duchy, there will be many Counties. These are almost purely economical territories with Counts and Countesses at their head. They almost directly control local taxes and the initial areas of High Politics in the empire.
- Baronies lie below that. Barons and Baronesses are responsible for collecting tax from the Townships in their territory and are the first to blame in the case of civil unrest.
