Baron / Baroness

A baron is placed above lords but below a count in the hirearchy of the Lowvire Empire. The roles of barons is mostly a military position among the civillian circles. A baron can be expected to maintain control of the local Lordships of a region and crack down on any potential cracks in the rule of their superiors; a Dukeship.
