The Worldspyre
The followers of Eldreon call themselves the Worldspyre, named for the obelisk that serves as the High Temple of Eldreon. They keep the all-seeing Eye as the holy symbol of Eldreon, and many walk with a quarterstaff, said to be a weapon he favors. They have very few rules, save that the followers must keep any secrets they find to themselves (except, of course, to share them with Eldreon. These followers seek knowledge above all else, waiting for the day they might ascend to Arcanos. The Mage’s Guild is heavily tied to the Worldspyre, and the highest members of the guild are said to be able to access the Eye of Eldreon, a demi-plane of all knowledge the god himself has gathered.
The Worldspyre do not tell many stories or celebrate many festivals, but all agree that when Eldreon walks the world, he does so in the form of a particularly tall elf wearing a black cloak and hood that obscures his face, and he Walks with a staff of every material known and unknown. Occasionally, the stories say he has a companion with him, a warrior with the head of a jackal and the body of a man.
The elves tend to worship a bit differently than the other Wordspyre members, and they believe that rather resting in Arcanus for all eternity, the souls of the dead become magic. Zealous Worldspyre elves may believe that casting magic frivolously is blasphemous.
