The Druids

Druids are the dedicated followers of Lelia and Vadaszat, the twin gods of nature. While many people are nominally nature worshippers also called Druids, the true organization is mysterious and known for completely disregarding the rest of mortalkind. Druids by nature tend to be hermits or wanderers, ever-searching for their true calling in nature. The church is split into several orders. The difference between a nature worshipper and a true believer is marked by the Wildered Quest, which is recieved at the same time as magical ability. Druids produce more magic-users than any other faith, though the Quest occasionally come with other gifts such as a Barbarian's rage or a Bard's talents. The spellcasters also known as Druids are exclusively members of this faith and the most common of their spellcasters by far. Only these "True Druids" are taught the secret tongue of the twin gods and the signs by which they communicate, though "common Druids" are to aid them by any means neccesary.

Holy Orders

The Order of Twilight

The most numerous of Druids, the Twilight serve Lelia and Vadaszat equally and work to preserve the balance of nature and civilization. These produce nearly all of the priests of Druidcraft that work temples.

The Order of the Rising Dawn

Dawn Druids are sworn exclusively to Lelia. Across Illiria, they work in tandem with the Circle of Good Faith to treat ailments and injuries. Often, these are given Quests to stay in a single area and aim to provide a quiet but firm voice on behalf of Nature.

The Order of Midnight

Midnight-sworn Druids are exclusively followers of Vadaszat. Sometimes called "The Sword of the Wild", the Order of Midnight are given Quests to destroy those who have upset the balance of Nature or otherwise invoked the wrath of the gods.

The Order of Rangers

Rangers are somewhat the opposite of Midnight, they are tasked with taking down problem wildlife that threaten the balance. In addition to hunts, they are known to serve as advisors to rulers on preventative measures when matters of state clash with the Druids and come to the aid of those who enter the Wild unprepared or unknowningly.

The Order of Rot

A strange and arcane cult even by Druidic standards, the Rot Priests serve the most unpalateable parts of Nature. They study fungus, disease, naturally-occuring undeath, and the magic and medicine that can be derived from all. They are frequently called to protect these things, keeping outsiders away from plague victims or even growing rot in home laboratories in the name of the gods.

The Order of Mortal Pennance

Better known as City Druids, these are dispatched to the largest cities on the continent and protecting the few wild places within. Sometimes they protect nests of rats from exterminators, watch over packs of wild dogs, maintain the gardens of nobility, or grow elaborate parks from the skeletons of abandoned buildings.

The Order of the Leaf

Leaf Druids serve Lelia exclusively just as the Dawn Druids do, but they walk a different path. Leaf Druids build villages for Druidkind, raise children to be inducted into other orders, meditate on the teachings of the gods, write about the purposes and politics of all the Orders and related faiths... they are as monks to the Druids.

The Order of the Hunt

The final Order in the exclusive service of Vadaszat, Druids of the Hunt find suitable offerings for the gods. They track down and slay impressive beasts, come to the aid of lycanthropes, and most importantly prepare for Vadaszat's Red Hunt. Many seek out the blessing of the Huntmaster themselves.
