Elves

Elves are creatures of the goddess Narmiraen. They were created with the task of tending and guarding Evera's forests and plants along with the fairies. Elves are wise, curious and creative people, receptive to magic and instinctively in tune with nature. Their problem-solving and organizational skills are excellent, and they are also usually immersed in various arts. Elves are long-lived mortal creatures, they can live up to a thousand years. In the course of the world's changes, four major groups emerged, with independent customs and dialects. Elves usually live in tribes - the exception to this is the western, so-called "Mystic elf" civilization, where families and individuals have also created cities similar to Humans - in addition to traditional communities. The tribes following ancient traditions operate as a single, huge family, share their resources, raise children together and take care of their own protection. In elf culture, women have a prominent role, they are the heads of the family, the makers of the final decisions. Although some communities may sometimes be headed by a man, you can always find a female advisor next to him who he really listens to. It is a serious difficulty for the elves that few children are conceived and born. Mainly, the more isolated communities struggle with this problem, where couples pay serious attention to the degree of kinship, although they primarily follow the maternal line. For this reason, in most tribes, the child is given the mother's family name at birth.
