the head of the old faith/the elven religion is the nominal commander of the army but he appoints a nobles or The Royal Magaran army officer with either strong religious links or is devout to zealotry.
History
origins-the army of faith was formed by the leader of the old faith in after The war of Men and the 'Old' races. it was formed in the hope that the magarans would be able to protect there freedoms .
it has remained out most conflicts and is used mainly as a protection force for the leaders of the old religion.
the first time is was used as an offensive force was during The war of the long winter where they march along side the magara army in helping vlad and his vampire empire.
they were then used during the magaran red revolution where they had to fight off red millita.
