Verra Highlands

We had to cross the Highlands both in and out of Verra. Both times were equally enlightning. Their cities grow from the environment like trees. Skyscrapers are supported by mountains, Arks that must house millions form to the surrounding landscape, always complimenting each other.

It's hard to imagine what it would be like to live in one, sadly we could not know. Both on our arrival and exit, the Verin declined us rights to disembark.

Comprising of the area north of the coral sea of Verra, these high elevation plains serve as the cradle of life for Jhoutai. Life here is very stable, Small eroded mountain ranges dot the land. The greenery is lush and thick, and ice only forms on the ground in the most northern reaches.

The Highlands receives rainfall year round, which helped sustain the early life that would become the Verin species. On the eastern-side of the continent is a massive sea that formed from a prehistoric impact crater. Some of the oldest marine-life on Jhoutai can still be found within its depths.

The southern section of the highlands drops into the eroded coral sea that splits the continent. Large Corralum tunnels in the southern sections of this region are the source of many Verin folklores and tales.
