The Sunken Satyr
A delightfully upbeat and lively establishment for drinking and enjoying music, the Sunken Satyr is a vibrant and vivid highlight on the street and attracts customers of a similar vibe.
Opened in the aftermath of the Kasarian War, this particular tavern wasn't one which existed prior to the conflict and instead has sprung up fresh from some of the surviving Fey who came from The Feywild to aid in the fighting.
In particular Adella Cherrycheeks, a Faun from the Fields of Spring now works the bar with the aid of her two sisters: Winnie and Eraphina as barmaids under the friendly but firm command of a Satyr: Finnian Wildcloak.
Purpose / Function
The Sunken Satyr desires to provide merriment, fun and frivolities with music and good drink.
Architecture
As a three story building, the Sunken Satyr looks pleasant and a little rustic in comparison to most constructs nearby, with stacked creamy stones and well-crafted pine beams on the exterior, there are large bay windows with diamond cut glass and what seems to be thick curtains inside.
Entering through a decorated wooden door bearing symbols of the seasons, there is an immediate abundance of unknown scents and aromas from roasting meats and bubbling ales. It is quite enchanting inside, with squared wooden beams supporting the upper floors with an opened lofted balcony accessible by a large two person staircase, the stone walls are decorated with paintings of a Plane unknown to many, of rolling fields; luscious forests; vast pastures and wintry frozen lakes. The paintings all seem to be done by the same hand, perhaps the owner or one of the long term staff.
Elegantly organised tables and chairs provide a decent amount of seating, both wooden and cushioned alike, a single fireplace burns with flames which frequently change colours and burn with different scents.
Many of the drinks and foods on offer seem heavily themed around the Feywild, namely the Seasonal Courts, and in comparison, the accommodation upstairs also appear to bare themes of a similar sort.
History
Finnian Wildcloak was originally part of the group which arrived from the Feywild with Lady Harmony Honeydew, alongside his longtime friends in the Cherrycheek family. Having fought extensively in "Tor Malmo"; "Arborea" and Tor Uviel, they decided to remain behind and did not venture to Gatewatch or Tor Alyn with the rest of their contingency, feeling their calling was to stay and help those left behind.
Now several months after the war's end, they have stayed and built a new life for themselves, though they seem to remain in contact with their former affiliations frequently.
