There was the cleverest...

So named for its incredible jaw strength, Maxilla is the smallest among all of the titanframes, and second only to Feminam in speed. What it lacks in size it makes up for in superior agility, enabling it to dominate any battlefield regardless of terrain. Unlike other titanframes, Maxilla appears to display no particular tendencies, nor prefer any one kind of pilot. It is an easy frame to bond with, but that does not make it easy to master. Summary

Unique among the titanframes for its diminutive size, Maxilla was the fourth titanframe to be completed. Its smaller size takes nothing away from its effectiveness, especially when paired with a heavy hitter like Pugna or Bestia, as it can use any means to its advantage. The best pilots for Maxilla know how to think outside the box, and to do it in an instant, making them excellent tacticians in the middle of combat. Maxilla's primary ability, however, is bite strength. By encasing its jaws in a layer of solid resonant energy, it is able to gnaw through any substance, and is even capable of shattering a resonant energy shield through sheer force.
