The Whitefields
[History]
The temperate climates found south of Mithrigal make for a wonderful place to grow delicate crops. Native to the small villages that sit in the shadows of the Oxspine Mountains are the Whitefields. A series of 3 small villages that operate a number of farms, each of which has its own specialty. The white pumpkins of Bullow Farms make for wonderful pies and soups. Mable Muslin's Farms specialize in cotton production and textiles. Lastly, Dewdrop Farms has been growing groves of white pears, pineberries, and honeydew melons with remarkable results. In the midst of their respective growing seasons, the area is easily identified by the large swaths of white vegetation at the base of the mountains, giving the area a distinct look and name.[Locations]
Bullow Farms is a farm-turned bed and breakfast. A quaint place where go for a good story. Pawtucket's Pumpkin Patch keeps most of its produce regional and has a reputation for creating high-quality rations and gourmet soups. Pawtucket Rubymaul has managed the farm for over 30 years. Muslin Farms are easily the most profitable in the area, with their bolts of cloth and textiles shipping as far south as Alttanes in some cases. Most of their business is done with other vendors and As they rarely sell directly to consumers, getting ones hands on a few bolts of their fine cotton is exceedingly difficult, though they are known to sell directly to winners of the Haute and Bespoke Fashion and Baking Show - HaBFab. Dewdrop Farms has the lowest output of any of the farms, though their goal is always more oriented toward specialized productions for Haute and Bespoke Fashion and Baking Show - HaBFab and Brave New Deli College. With only the best bakers and chefs being granted access to their produce, fruits and vegetables Dewdrop usually has the highest price per pound for produce of anywhere in Espen. While freshwater is moderately close, an intricate system of water towers, cisterns and aquaducts that bring more than enough fresh water to the town were designed by human engineers and built by Dwarvish workers using stones found near Greatsword Falls in Mithrigal
