Brave New Deli College

History and Lore

As one of the new institutions of learning in Espen their enrollment numbers a modest. However, this hasn't prevented them from providing a top-tier education for their students. Further, the chefs, cooks, and tavern owners union has ensured that a portion of the top produce farmed in the surrounding areas goes to the Brave New Deli (BND). This ensures that the chefs in training are working with the highest quality items to hone their skills.   Currently, the school has expanded to a neighboring annex that allows for increased storage of pot, pans, trays, spices, and dried goods. The students range from young to old and come from every walk of life, as admission is a pure meritocracy. The classes offered center around baking, beer making, winemaking, cheesemaking, culinary arts, and fine dining.

Dean

The semi-annual competition, Sa Sans-Sucre, is hosted by the BND by the Sans-Sucre family. Known for their love of savory baked goods, the family has hosted the competition for 20 straight years. The current dean, Tiarsus San-Sucre currently presides over the academics and the competition and has been angling to expand the school beyond its annex to create a larger campus.
